The Opportunity
The Product Manager – RIS/B2B is the primary technical and operational expert for Roche Information Solutions digital products, Lab Insights, and Healthcare Insights across the region.
The role bridges complex global digital and software solutions with local field execution and supports commercial success in healthcare IT and laboratory informatics tenders.
Major Responsibilities
- Manage product lifecycles, material introductions, portfolio call-to-actions, and Phase-In/Phase-Out transitions.
- Provide software specifications, IT architecture requirements, and data security documentation for complex procurement processes.
- Deliver and coordinate advanced technical product training for local commercial teams.
- Represent local affiliate interests in Global Product Hubs and Regional Communities of Practice.
- Coordinate customer presentations, customer interactions, marketing notifications, and material introductions.
Stakeholders and Relationships
- Work with global product hubs and regional communities to represent local IT needs and align training standards.
- Provide technical specifications and digital value narratives to integrated marketing partners.
- Support tender and key account teams with IT documentation for strategic submissions involving hospital IT boards.
- Enable network commercial and sales teams through digital solution training and platform transition management.
- Collaborate with quality, regulatory, IT, and data privacy teams on compliant product activations and notifications.
Financial Scope and Budget
- Implement local pricing strategies, including subscription and SaaS models, for the RIS/B2B portfolio.
- Protect affiliate revenue by securing technical compliance in high-value laboratory IT and digital solution tenders.
- Manage cost-effective product transitions to minimize disruption during software upgrades and material introductions.
Leadership Scope
This is an individual contributor role requiring lateral leadership across complex RIS portfolio activities without direct reporting lines.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product management, health informatics, digital solutions, or specialized technical sales within IVD or healthcare IT.
- Deep product knowledge in digital health, Laboratory Information Systems, Lab Insights, and healthcare data analytics.
- Strong experience with technical IT tender specifications and hospital procurement processes involving IT directors and CIOs.
- Ability to influence internal sales leaders, cross-functional teams, and global hubs without direct authority.
- Ability to adapt to change, navigate ambiguity, and drive new ways of working.
- Ability to build trust through transparent communication, integrity, collaboration, and constructive challenge.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience managing software Phase-In/Phase-Out strategies, SaaS pricing, and software-related regulatory or marketing notifications.
- University degree in a relevant scientific, IT, or healthcare discipline, such as health informatics, biomedical engineering, or computer science.
- An advanced business degree is a plus.

- Deliver and coordinate software and digital product training in alignment with global standards.
- Provide detailed IT and product specifications for complex procurement processes.

- Engage and motivate sales teams around technical requirements, SaaS pricing, and portfolio transitions.
