Responsibilities
- Act as first line of defense in product design with security first mindset
- Champion 'outcomes over outputs' approach using continuous discovery habits
- Treat internal capabilities as tier 1 products and track key product metrics
- Lead execution of Fundamental Customer Capabilities program
- Drive roadmap for IAM systems including authentication, authorization, SSO, and identity federation
- Evolve omni channel Customer Notification Platform (Email, SMS, Push, In App)
- Oversee enterprise document strategy for secure storage, generation, and retrieval
- Translate complex technical constraints and business strategies into user stories and technical specifications
- Proactively gather insights via ad hoc queries to drive product recommendations
- Leverage understanding of distributed systems and event based messaging (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Use Postman to test endpoints and validate data flows
- Proactively identify and align cross functional stakeholders
Requirements
- 3 5+ years experience in product management, platform engineering, or systems analysis within financial services or enterprise SaaS
- 7+ years of cumulative professional experience across industries
- Post secondary education, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
- Deep passion for security and protecting clients' data
- Understanding of modern product management principles with track record of shifting teams to outcome driven squads
- Platform Product Mindset with ability to abstract complex system logic into reusable APIs and microservices

Role Overview
- The Product Manager, Core Platforms is a champion for building foundational, highly scalable infrastructure for the Quest ecosystem.
- Lead program execution and manage the product roadmap for the Fundamental Customer Capabilities Track (Customer Identity Access Management, Notification Platform, and Enterprise Document Management).
In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Security & Client Protection Advocate: Act as the first line of defense in product design.
- Modern Product Discovery & Delivery: Champion an 'outcomes over outputs' approach.
- Platform as a Product Strategy: Treat internal capabilities as tier 1 products.
- Program Execution & Roadmap Management: Lead the execution of the Fundamental Customer Capabilities program.
- Identity & Access Management (IAM) Strategy: Drive the roadmap for robust IAM systems.
- Notification & Communication Infrastructure: Evolve the omni channel Customer Notification Platform.
- Enterprise Document Strategy: Oversee systems for secure document storage, generation, and retrieval.
- Requirements Definition: Translate complex technical constraints into detailed user stories and technical specifications.
- Fluency with Data: Proactively gather insights via ad hoc queries.
- Distributed systems and event based messaging: Leverage understanding of technical architecture.
- API Fluency: Hands on proficiency with APIs and tools like Postman.
- Stakeholder Management: Proactively identify and align cross functional stakeholders.

- Stay relentlessly up to date on the latest technologies and threat landscapes.

Additional kudos if you…
- Demonstrate working knowledge of IAM protocols (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML 2.0, SCIM, JWT).
- Have foundational knowledge of authentication mechanisms (Risk Based Auth, Passwordless, FIDO2/WebAuthn, MFA).
- Have experience with Identity Providers (Okta, Auth0, Ping Identity, Azure AD) or directory services (LDAP).
- Have deep familiarity with data privacy regulations (GDPR, PIPEDA) and security/compliance frameworks (SOC2).
- Have experience transitioning legacy monolithic applications into microservices.
- Are comfortable presenting complex technical platform initiatives to executive teams.
- Experience in banking/financial/investment systems/solution development.
- Knowledge of writing/understanding/interpreting API documentation.
- Knowledge in data analysis using SQL.
- CSPO, CSM or other relevant certification an asset.
- Have practical experience using AI powered development tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot).
Compensation Information
- Base salary range: CAD 120,000 CAD 150,000.
- Includes comprehensive benefits plan and competitive incentive (bonus) program.
Workplace
- This role requires three days of in office presence per week for Greater Toronto Area (GTA) residents.
- For candidates residing outside the GTA, a remote workplace arrangement is available.
