Role Overview
The Product Manager will evolve a connectivity product portfolio and progressively own value-added service products that extend and differentiate core connectivity offerings.
The role works with Connectivity Product Managers, Engineering, Sales, Operations, and ecosystem partners.
Initial focus is on Point of Interconnect and Internet connectivity before expanding into cloud interconnect, SD-WAN, and security overlays.
The role requires technical depth and the ability to translate customer and market needs into scalable, commercially viable services.
Connectivity Portfolio
- Contribute to Layer 2 and Internet connectivity product definition and evolution.
- Align product requirements with Point of Interconnect capabilities and maintain extensibility through value-added services.
- Participate in roadmap planning, program-of-record activities, and cross-functional service reviews.
Point of Interconnect
- Own requirements for public and private Point of Interconnect options involving cloud providers, data centers, and internet exchanges.
- Develop PoI-anchored service models for enterprise, service-provider, and partner use cases.
- Work with Engineering and Operations to ensure offerings are scalable and fulfillment-ready.
- Engage cloud providers, colocation operators, internet exchanges, and terrestrial carriers on interconnect solutions.
Value-Added Services
- Own end-to-end product definition for assigned value-added services from concept and business case through launch and in-life evolution.
- Lead requirements for IP services, VPNs, segmentation, traffic engineering, QoS, resiliency, cloud connectivity, and security overlays.
- Define services that integrate with enterprise WANs, SD-WAN platforms, and cloud networking constructs.
- Shape and maintain the value-added services roadmap in line with connectivity capabilities and commercial priorities.
Cross-Functional and Commercial Work
- Serve as a product subject-matter expert for Sales, Solution Architecture, and customer engagement teams.
- Support complex enterprise opportunities through solution design, service descriptions, and commercial constructs.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Operations on implementation, automation, and operational processes.
- Contribute to pricing strategy, service schedules, SLA frameworks, positioning, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence.
Required Experience
- 8+ years of experience in product management, solutions architecture, network engineering, or technical commercial roles in telecom, networking, cloud, or managed services.
- Experience with enterprise connectivity, interconnect, or cloud-based networking services.
- Ability to operate across technical, commercial, and operational domains.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Technical Expertise
- Strong IP networking and Layer 3+ services foundation, including routing, VPNs, traffic management, and SD-WAN overlays.
- Strong Carrier Ethernet foundation, including MEF-based service models and operational considerations.
- Experience with Point of Interconnect, data centers, internet exchanges, cloud connectivity, and terrestrial backhaul.
- Familiarity with enterprise cloud networking and hybrid connectivity models.
