Product Design Engineering Intern/Co-op - Spring 2027

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES; other duties as assigned:

• Upholds Andis Core Values of Excellence, Integrity, and Respect in all work related activities.
• Process written Engineering Change Orders. Engineering Change Orders include various 2D drafting work, Bill of Material changes and the writing of an Engineering Change Order. This work is being done under close direction from a designer or engineer.
• Makes 2D AutoCAD drawings, checking dimension of parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure or project. Make assembly and experimental drawings as required.
• Utilizes knowledge of engineering practices, mathematics, and other physical sciences to complete drawings.
• Draws finished 2D designs from sketches supplied by a designer or engineer.
• Uses AutoCAD software Microsoft Dynamics to distribute part numbers, Engineering Change Orders, and Bill of Materials that the rest of the company utilizes in their processes.
• M akes small design changes to 3D models previously created using the Solid Works program.
• Documentation and reporting skills to support the Product Engineering team as required.

• Must be enrolled in an accredited technical school or university studying toward an associate/bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field. Must have and maintain a minimum G.P.A. of 3.00/4.0.
• Proficient in MS Office, preferably Word and Excel.

with AutoCAD and SolidWorks, Creo or Auto Desk required.

• Ability to read and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write Engineering Change Notices and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Engineers, Designers, supervisors and peers.
