Packaging Engineering Intern/Co-op - Spring 2027

As a student, you will evaluate the customer’s needs and expectations for a packaging solution and gain experience with multiple materials and revenue streams.

Assignments will include participation in cross-functional teams to cultivate packaging for projects within different stages of readiness.

• Upholds Andis Core Values in all work-related activities.
• Maintains open communication and build strong relationships with teams within and beyond engineering.
• Designs consumer driven packing for manufacturability, inspect ability, and cost optimization.
• Reviews and qualifies packaging dyeline files from external suppliers and printers.
• Coordinates prototype models to evaluate new design concepts with suppliers.
• Generates comprehensive protocols for analyzing and testing packaging.
• Identifies, follows, and documents appropriate ISTA testing procedures.
• Creates and revises component drawings as well as associating BOMs with most up to date specifications.
• Manages the circulation of packaging documentation for various functional approvals.
• Participates in project teams & assist in meeting stage gate deliverables.
• Completes competitor benchmarks document current packaging data
• Assists with production floor challenges as needed.

• Must have a positive attitude, great work ethic, & excellent communication skills as a supportive collaborator in team projects
• Must have a basic understanding of materials, industrial packaging design and validation approaches.
• Must have strong organizational skills, be self-driven and proactive.
