At Medibank, our purpose is Better Health for Better Lives . We're looking for an experienced design leader to lead our Product Design Chapter, elevate design excellence across squads, and champion customer-centred thinking that delivers meaningful outcomes.

Reporting into the Experience Design leadership team, you'll lead and develop a team of Product Designers while driving quality, consistency, accessibility and design maturity across our digital experiences. You'll work closely with Product, Technology, CX, Research and Brand leaders to shape experiences that balance customer needs, business outcomes and technical feasibility.

What you'll be doing

Lead, coach and develop a team of Product Designers, building capability and creating an environment where people can thrive.

Set and uplift design standards, practices and governance across multiple squads.

Partner with Product, Technology and Experience leaders to deliver customer-centred solutions.

Provide hands-on leadership for complex, strategic and high-impact initiatives.

Champion accessibility, inclusive design and design system adoption across web and mobile experiences.

Use customer insights, research and data to inform decisions and improve outcomes.

Drive continuous improvement across design quality, ways of working and team capability.

About you

Significant experience in digital product design, including experience leading and developing designers.

Strong expertise across UX, UI, interaction design, research, accessibility and design systems.
