Role overview
The Procurement Specialist manages procurement activities, resources, policies, systems, suppliers, contracts, and inventory to support cost, quality, service, and operational continuity.
The role is responsible for compliance with ICBA policies, UAE laws, and international procurement best practices.
Responsibilities
- Implement procurement strategies and policies and ensure compliance with UAE laws and international best practices.
- Establish supplier agreements, identify sourcing opportunities, review supplier performance, and improve supply-chain costs.
- Review provider submissions, contract specifications, pricing, delivery, discounts, and performance.
- Develop supplier-sourcing plans, procurement-process improvement projects, and procurement and inventory guidelines.
- Develop supplier and contract KPIs, perform risk assessments, and negotiate contract terms and partnerships.
- Oversee daily procurement and inventory operations and coordinate purchasing plans with internal stakeholders.
- Support finance forecasting and budgeting, analyze market and delivery trends, and maintain strategic supplier relationships.
- Prepare reports, exercise judgment, and present recommendations to management and the Board.
