Procurement Officer (Paper Products Printing Industry)

Overview

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure raw materials such as paper, film, ink, adhesives, and other consumables required for printing production.
• Identify and purchase machinery, spare parts, and technical equipment related to printing and packaging operations.
• Manage supplier relationships, both local and international, ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.
• Handle end-to-end procurement processes including RFQs, price comparisons, negotiations, and purchase order issuance.
• Coordinate with logistics teams for import/export shipments, customs clearance, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse and production teams to ensure continuous supply.
• Evaluate supplier performance and maintain an approved vendor list.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum [5] years of experience in procurement, preferably in printing, packaging, or manufacturing industries.
• Strong knowledge of printing machinery and raw materials (paper, films, inks, chemicals).
• Experience in local and international logistics, including shipping documentation and customs procedures.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in GCC market procurement.
• Knowledge of Qatar import regulations and supplier networks.
• Technical understanding of printing processes (flexo, offset, gravure, etc.).
