Job Title: Procurement Officer (Client And Developer Side)Job Summary
The Procurement Officer is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process on behalf of the client/developer, ensuring that all materials, services, and contracts are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with project specifications, timelines, and company policies.
1. Procurement Planning & Strategy
- Develop and implement procurement plans aligned with project requirements and timelines
- Coordinate with project managers, consultants, and contractors to determine procurement needs
- Prepare procurement schedules and track progress against project milestones
2. Vendor Management & Sourcing
- Identify, evaluate, and prequalify suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers
- Maintain an updated vendor database
- Issue RFQs/RFPs and ensure competitive bidding
3. Tendering & Contracting
- Analyze quotations and prepare commercial bid evaluations
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to achieve best value for the client
- Prepare and review purchase orders, contracts, and agreements
- Ensure all contracts comply with legal, commercial, and technical requirements
4. Cost Control & Budget Monitoring
- Monitor procurement costs and ensure alignment with approved budgets
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
- Provide regular reports on procurement status and expenditures
5. Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with consultants, contractors, and internal departments (finance, legal, project team)
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and services in line with project schedules
- Resolve procurement-related issues, delays, or disputes
6. Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and industry regulations
- Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and contracts
- Support audit requirements and ensure transparency in procurement processes
7. Risk Management
- Identify procurement risks (supply delays, price fluctuations, vendor performance)
- Develop mitigation strategies to minimize project impact
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
- 3–7 years of procurement experience in construction/contracting or real estate development
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contracts, and tendering procedures
- Experience working on the client/developer side is preferred
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office
