Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Officer to manage purchasing activities, supplier coordination, and inventory support.
The role requires maintaining accurate records of transactions, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring timely and cost-efficient procurement of materials and services while adhering to company policies and industry standards.
Qualifications
1.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
2.
Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations.
3.
Knowledge of Purchasing Processes and understanding of Purchase Orders
4.
Proficiency in Procurement activities and practices
5.
Strong verbal, negotiation and written Communication skills
6.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
7.
Proficiency with relevant procurement software and tools is a plus
Responsibilities
1.
Source suppliers and obtain quotations for required materials and services.
2.
Compare prices, quality, and delivery schedules to ensure best value.
3.
Prepare purchase orders and coordinate approvals.
4.
Monitor stock levels and support inventory control activities.
5.
Coordinate with suppliers regarding deliveries, payments, and order status.
6.
Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
7.
Ensure purchased items meet company specifications and quality standards.
8.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
9.
Support cost-saving initiatives and procurement process improvements.
10.
Coordinate with internal departments regarding purchasing requirements and timelines.
