- Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, delivery time, and reliability
- Obtain quotations and negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors
- Prepare and process purchase orders in a timely manner
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with departments to forecast purchasing needs
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
- Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and purchasing documentation
- Resolve issues related to delayed deliveries, damaged goods, or supplier performance
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and applicable regulations
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Coordinate with the finance department regarding invoices, payments, and budget requirements
- Prepare procurement reports and purchasing analyses for management
Requirements
- Experience in procurement or related field
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Knowledge of supplier sourcing and evaluation
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office
