Role Overview
Lootah Robotics is seeking a Procurement & Logistics Officer to manage purchasing, supplier coordination, international shipping, customs clearance, and delivery of robotics equipment and technical components.
The role requires practical experience in procurement and logistics, international shipping, freight forwarding, import/export documentation, and UAE customs procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate local and international suppliers.
- Obtain and compare quotations based on price, quality, specifications, lead time, and delivery terms.
- Prepare and process RFQs, purchase orders, and procurement documentation.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions with suppliers.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure orders are prepared and dispatched on time.
- Coordinate air, sea, land, and courier shipments.
- Work with freight forwarders, shipping agents, courier companies, and customs clearance agents.
- Prepare and verify commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, air waybills, and certificates of origin.
- Coordinate customs clearance and final delivery of imported goods.
- Track shipments and resolve delays, customs issues, or missing documentation.
- Coordinate supplier invoices and payments with Finance.
- Coordinate receiving and inspection of goods with technical and warehouse teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, logistics, or supply chain.
- Experience dealing with local and international suppliers.
- Good knowledge of UAE customs and import procedures.
- Understanding of Incoterms such as EXW, FOB, CIF, and DDP.
- Experience coordinating international air and sea freight.
- Strong supplier negotiation and quotation comparison skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with ERP or procurement systems is preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, follow-up, and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple purchase orders and shipments simultaneously.
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate procurement, supplier, and shipment records.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities in procurement and logistics.
- Support inventory planning and availability of critical spare parts and components.
- Ensure purchased items meet technical specifications provided by engineering and robotics teams.
