Requirements
- Experience in sourcing solar equipment for EPC projects
- Strong understanding of solar project equipment such as PV Modules, BESS, Trackers, etc.

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with focus on cost control
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with procurement software, SAP/ERP systems, MS Office Suite, Primavera
- Ability to manage complete supply chain lifecycle from RFQ to project delivery

Job Overview
- We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Lead Buyer with experience in overseeing the procurement of Solar Equipment’s for our EPC Solar projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure favourable pricing and terms while ensuring quality and reliability.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Solar Projects equipment such as PV Modules, BESS, Trackers, Switchyard, transformers, bus ducts, switchgear, OHL etc.
- Cost Analysis: Conduct thorough cost analysis to optimize procurement decisions, focusing on value for money and lifecycle costs.
- Contract Negotiation: Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts, material supply agreements with suppliers, ensuring all terms protect the project’s interests and minimize risks.
- Cross Functional Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery and integration of static equipment into project schedules.
- Supplier Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess supplier performance and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Ability to efficiently manage complete supply chain lifecycle management of Solar Procurement from RFQ stage upto Project Delivery & Energization.
- Effective reporting of the status of procurement activities of relevant categories for a project to enable the identification of delays and potential root causes.
- Provide support to the project in terms of any interventions required while administering supply contracts for relevant categories.
- Conduct regular procurement reviews with all stakeholders to Meet the Project schedule.
- Developing long term partnerships with local & foreign suppliers; managing day to day supplier performance to ensure meeting of service, cost, delivery, and quality norms.
- Expediting with the vendors for meeting delivery schedule.

- Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers and manage complex contracts.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a focus on cost control and value optimization.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with procurement software, SAP / ERP systems, and MS Office Suite, Primavera etc.
