Responsibilities
- Manage end to end procurement activities for electromechanical materials and services.
- Identify and qualify suppliers, prepare and evaluate requests for quotation (RFQs).
- Negotiate commercial and technical terms and issue purchase orders in line with project requirements.
- Coordinate with engineering, project management, and finance teams to align procurement with technical specifications, budgets, and timelines.
- Monitor supplier performance, maintain accurate procurement records, and contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes and cost optimization.
Requirements
- Strong supplier management capabilities, including Supplier Evaluation and vendor qualification.
- Proficiency in procurement processes, including Request for Quotation (RFQ) preparation, comparison, and follow up.
- Experience in generating, reviewing, and tracking Purchase Orders within ERP or procurement systems.
- Well developed Analytical Skills to assess pricing, total cost of ownership, and technical compliance.
- Effective Communication skills for working with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Relevant experience in procurement within MEP, electromechanical, or construction projects, preferably in the UAE or GCC.
- Familiarity with HVAC, district cooling, water treatment, or similar technical systems is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities (BOQs).
- Strong negotiation, time management, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ethics in procurement.
