About the Role

  • EMKAAN is seeking a detail oriented and proactive Procurement Coordinator to support procurement and project coordination.
  • Ideal candidate should have a Civil Engineering or construction related background.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in sourcing, evaluating, and coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors for construction materials, civil works, and project related requirements.
  • Prepare and issue RFQs, purchase orders, comparison sheets, and other procurement related documents.
  • Review supplier quotations and compare offers based on price, quality, specifications, delivery timeline, and project requirements.
  • Coordinate with engineering, project, and site teams to confirm material specifications, quantities, BOQ requirements, and delivery schedules.
  • Assist in reviewing BOQs, drawings, material submittals, and technical specifications to ensure proper procurement of civil/construction materials.
  • Assist in reviewing and preparing proposals for higher management review prior to client presentation.
  • Prepare proposal presentations and related documents for client meetings.
  • Communicate with clients when required and explain details included in the prepared proposal.
  • Ensure approved proposals from clients are properly filed and saved in Dropbox.
  • Maintain and update the monitoring tracker for all approved proposals received from clients.
  • Coordinate with Accounts for preparation and issuance of invoices to clients based on approved proposals.
  • Monitor material requests, delivery status, and stock availability to ensure timely supply for ongoing projects.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Civil Engineering or construction related background is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, proposal coordination, or project coordination, preferably in construction or consultancy.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, BOQ, drawings, technical specifications, and supplier coordination.
  • Ability to review quotations, prepare proposal documents, and coordinate with management prior to client presentation.
  • Good communication skills and confidence in speaking with clients to explain proposal details.
  • Strong negotiation, coordination, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with ERP systems and Dropbox/document management is an advantage.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain accurate records.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
