- Preventive maintenance of supportive tools
- Operate machines for post-processing steps with attention to detail and safety
- Follow procedures to perform basic metrology and post-processing steps on the parts after printing
- Follow directions for proper record keeping using electronic MFG systems
- Initiate and participate in process improvement activities as approved and directed by the supervisor
- Participate in team and other assigned meetings
- Other duties as needed or required
- 2 years of directly applicable experience operating machines in a lab or manufacturing environment
- Professional working experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, or research and development environment.
- Experience as a machinist is desired
- Good mechanical aptitude (basic machine operations, monitoring, debugging)
- Good computer skills to enter data and record information
- Demonstrated experience following established safety rules and regulations
- Committed to quality, safety, and communication
- Understanding of production procedures
- Aptitude to follow process instructions
- Willing to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
- Attention to detail
- Ability to maintain a safe and clean work space
- Team-oriented and self-directed
- Work is performed primarily in a manufacturing laboratory
- Work is on-site at Velo3D’s facility in Fremont, California
- Daily work shift is: Monday-Friday, 9 am - 6 pm shift
- Able to lift a maximum of 60 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Must wear steel-toed boots
- Must wear protective eyewear
- May require hearing protection
- High frequency of computer keyboarding
- High frequency of viewing a computer monitor
