Job Purpose
Support process engineering activities during EPC and startup until handover to the permanent asset.
Help ensure facility designs meet operations expectations for safety, operability, reliability, and maintainability throughout the design life cycle.
Major Challenges
- Influence project decisions using both CAPEX and lifecycle OPEX considerations.
- Ensure compliance with company specifications, processes, and procedures.
- Participate in design and procedure reviews while mitigating risks from new technologies.
Key Accountabilities
- Support RCFA, HAZOP, FRA, HAZID, SIL verification, process safety, and reliability activities.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures and process surveillance tools for new projects.
- Troubleshoot surveillance deviations, provide engineering recommendations, and escalate threats promptly.
- Participate in system completions, walk-downs, chemical or catalyst loading, commissioning, and startup.
- Maintain an issue register covering critical reliability, availability, and cybersecurity risks.
- Support project tie-ins and high-risk commissioning through surveillance, system optimization, and operations advice.
