Role Overview

This is a Monday-to-Friday daytime role focused primarily on yield performance monitoring.

The role addresses wafer fab electrical yield, corrective actions, product quality problems, quality improvement, silicon qualification, and automation.

Qualifications

  • An HND or degree-level qualification in an appropriate discipline is required.
  • More than three years of manufacturing engineering experience is required.
  • The role requires planning and organizing qualification trials and investigations, documentation updates, data analysis, and problem solving.
  • The role values priority management, communication at all levels, enthusiasm, and resourcefulness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate and coordinate cross-functional teams to lead yield improvement activities.
  • Support dispositioning of lots held for yield problems and liaise with logistics, production, and assembly centres.
  • Monitor yield performance, report discrepancies, and initiate corrective actions with engineering teams or suppliers.
  • Analyze yield data for individual product types and participate in teams working toward defined yield targets.
  • Maintain the integrity of wafer test specifications, yield stop levels, and minimum yield levels.
  • Support 8D investigations, silicon supplier corrective actions, new product introduction, and tool automation.

Technical Skills

  • Relevant technical work includes wafer yield analysis, quality investigations, silicon qualification, test specifications, documentation, and automation.
  • The department uses cross-functional collaboration among Process, Equipment, Quality, IT, and Failure Analysis teams.
