P osition Description

Title: Process Engineer – Paper Manufacturing

Department: Engineering

Immediate Supervisor: Engineering Manager

Status: Exempt

Location: On-Site at our Blythewood, SC facility

$2,5 00 Sign-On Bonus Available for Qualified Candidates

Position Purpose: Provide process engineering support across all manufacturing operations with a primary focus on paper manufacturing processes. Serve as the site's technical expert for paper-related production issues, helping identify process bottlenecks, improve product quality and consistency, optimize machine performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Partner closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Quality teams to improve overall plant efficiency and manufacturing performance.

Principle Accountabilities

Support process improvement initiatives across all manufacturing operations and production equipment.

Serve as the primary technical resource and subject matter expert for paper manufacturing processes and paper-related production challenges.

Investigate paper machine performance issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions to improve process stability, quality, yield, and throughput.

Analyze production data and process trends to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement across the facility.

Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Quality teams to troubleshoot manufacturing issues and optimize production performance.

Lead continuous improvement projects focused on waste reduction, process capability, machine efficiency, and product consistency.
