Mission
The Process Engineer supports process design, optimization, and safety activities for energy assets.
The role develops operating procedures, evaluates PFDs and P&IDs, and oversees pre-commissioning, commissioning, and decommissioning activities.
Key Accountabilities
- Create operating procedures for chemical and physical processes, equipment operation, material handling, and safety protocols.
- Review PFDs and P&IDs to verify process flows, equipment, instrumentation, and control systems.
- Oversee equipment testing, inspections, readiness assessments, startup, system integration, safe shutdown, and dismantling.
- Monitor chemical and physical process performance and implement improvements to equipment, procedures, or operating parameters.
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses and develop safety protocols, procedures, and emergency response plans.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and operations teams to coordinate activities and resolve issues.
- Communicate technical information, project updates, and recommendations to stakeholders.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years of process engineering experience within the energy industry.
- Strong understanding of process design, optimization, and safety principles.
