Job Summary
The Process Engineer manages shop-floor manufacturing and process improvement activities.
The role works with production, quality, maintenance, design, and supply-chain teams to improve productivity, quality, cost, delivery, and safety.
Role Details
- The position is based in the Manufacturing / Operations department at SIPCOT, Tirunelveli.
- The role is full-time and reports to the Plant Head or Manufacturing Manager.
- The position requires 3–8 years of experience.
Shop-Floor Management
- Manage and monitor daily shop-floor manufacturing activities.
- Coordinate production teams to achieve daily and monthly targets.
- Monitor manpower, machine utilization, output, rejection, rework, and downtime.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, work instructions, and safety requirements.
- Support production planning and smooth material and process flow.
- Lead shop-floor problem-solving and resolve manufacturing issues.
