Role Overview
The Process Development Engineer will design, develop, and implement production processes for efficient and economical mass production.
The role supports optical assembly processes and manufacturing of complex products in a highly regulated environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Design manufacturing equipment layouts and production operation sequences for efficient and productive manufacturing.
- Specify procedures for fabricating applicable tools and equipment and adapt machinery to factory conditions.
- Conduct production tests, troubleshoot process problems, and solve issues involving applicable variables.
- Provide technical input to product design engineering to improve manufacturability and assembly.
- Ensure production processes and procedures comply with applicable regulations.
- Support handling and cleaning of optical components to maintain high-quality optical assembly.
- Recommend new technology, equipment, and materials and support product upgrades.
- Prepare technical reports for investigations and regulatory agencies or bodies.
