Role Overview
Parsons is seeking a Principal Wet Utilities Engineer for its Abu Dhabi team.
The role covers complex engineering work for water and wastewater projects, project oversight, regulatory compliance, and sustainable water resource management.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead planning, design, and implementation of water supply, treatment, and distribution infrastructure projects.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, deliverables, feasibility studies, technical assessments, and design optimization.
- Perform hydraulic and hydrological modeling, water demand calculations, supply strategies, and reservoir planning.
- Address transmission, distribution, storage, transient analysis, valve arrangements, hydraulic chambers, loops, pump stations, and sustainable supply design.
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers, technicians, and support staff.
- Review and approve technical reports, designs, calculations, drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, government agencies, and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with water quality, safety, environmental, and other applicable regulations.
- Prepare reports, permits, and environmental impact assessments and conduct design reviews.
- Resolve issues during design, construction supervision, and post-contract phases and conduct site inspections.
- Promote water recycling, conservation, sustainable management, and renewable energy integration.
