Role Overview
Amazon Ads is hiring a Principal Technical Program Manager for the Measurement, Ad Tech, and Data Science organization.
The role drives large, cross-cutting programs behind Programmatic Reporting, Amazon Marketing Stream, and Reporting APIs.
These systems process billions of aggregated datapoints through pipelines using Apache Spark, Apache Iceberg, and AWS.
The role brings structure to ambiguous programs spanning engineering, product, science, and partner teams across regions.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of large, ambiguous programs across pipelines, query engines, APIs, and data integration.
- Partner with senior engineers, product leaders, and senior leadership to shape strategy and roadmaps.
- Build program scope, milestones, success criteria, sequencing, and mechanisms for resolving risks and dependencies.
- Establish increasingly automated and agent-driven operating mechanisms for predictable delivery.
- Advise senior leaders on investment priorities and organization-wide delivery mechanisms.
- Frame decisions and recommendations for audiences from working teams through senior leadership.
- Drive trade-offs involving data freshness, accuracy, cost, and time to market.
