Opportunity
Own the product strategy for AI evaluations and governance capabilities that enable RBC to scale agentic AI responsibly.
Lead a capability area that assesses AI system quality and safety and turns assessments into risk and compliance reporting.
Partner with engineering, risk, compliance, audit, architecture, and business stakeholders across the bank.
Product Strategy and Roadmap
- Own an end-to-end product strategy and multi-year roadmap prioritized against business risk, regulatory need, and platform adoption.
- Lead discovery and requirements definition across engineering, risk, compliance, and business stakeholders.
- Own portfolio prioritization and sequencing across near-term compliance needs and longer-term platform investment.
- Evaluate build, buy, and partner options for evaluation and governance tooling.
Delivery and Engagement
- Partner with engineering and architecture leadership on feasibility, sequencing, and trade-offs.
- Work with project management to convert prioritized requirements into a funded, scheduled program of work.
- Represent the capability area to risk, audit, and compliance stakeholders and serve as its product voice to senior leadership.
- Represent product considerations in architecture reviews, governance forums, and vendor evaluations.
Launch and People Leadership
- Help define value messaging and target user personas for launches and define success metrics for ongoing prioritization.
- Contribute capability inputs to the broader business case describing value delivered.
- Build, mentor, and lead product managers focused on evaluations and governance.
- Foster iterative delivery, user understanding, and data-backed decision-making.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 10+ years of product management experience, including several years in risk, compliance, safety, or governance-oriented technology.
- Experience delivering production AI/ML systems in an enterprise environment and integrating LLM APIs.
- Direct ownership of testing, evaluating, or monitoring AI systems for quality and risk.
- Experience in a regulated industry with exposure to audit and regulatory review processes.
- Technical foundation in system design, API integration, data pipelines, and vector database or RAG architecture.
- Strong communication skills and a technical degree or equivalent experience.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience leading and developing product managers or moving from individual contributor to people leadership.
- Experience automating regulatory or audit requirements and defining interfaces between engineering teams.
- Experience with AI safety, model risk management, automated AI evaluation, or observability platforms.
- Familiarity with OSFI Guideline E-23, NIST AI RMF, SR 26-2, or ISO/IEC 42001.
