Principal Technical Product Manager, Evaluations & Governance

Opportunity

Product Strategy and Roadmap

• Own end-to-end product strategy and a multi-year roadmap for evaluations and governance capabilities.
• Lead discovery and requirements definition with engineering, risk, compliance, and business stakeholders.
• Prioritize the portfolio against business risk, regulatory needs, and platform adoption.
• Evaluate build, buy, and partner options for evaluation and governance tooling.

Delivery Partnership

• Partner with engineering and architecture leadership on feasibility, sequencing, and trade-offs.
• Work with project management to convert prioritized requirements into funded and scheduled work.
• Stay engaged through delivery to resolve product-scope questions and re-plan trade-offs.

Stakeholder and Business Engagement

• Represent the capability area to risk, audit, and compliance stakeholders across business lines.
• Serve as the primary product voice to senior leadership on the capability area's health and trajectory.
• Represent product considerations in architecture reviews, governance forums, and vendor evaluations.
• Partner with adjacent product and engineering leaders so requirements are considered early.

Launch and Value

• Help define value messaging and target user personas for launches with go-to-market partners.
• Define and track success metrics for the capability area.
• Contribute inputs to the broader business case describing value delivered.

People Leadership

• Build, mentor, and lead a team of product managers focused on evaluations and governance.
• Help product managers apply consistent discovery, prioritization, and delivery practices.
• Foster iterative delivery, understanding of user needs, and data-backed decision-making.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 10+ years of product management experience, including several years in risk, compliance, safety, or governance-oriented technology products or services.
• Experience delivering production AI/ML systems in an enterprise environment, including hands-on LLM API integration.
• Direct ownership of how AI systems are tested, evaluated, or monitored for quality and risk.
• Experience in a regulated industry with exposure to audit and regulatory review processes.
• Technical foundation in system design, API integration patterns, data pipelines, and vector database or RAG architecture.
• University degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience leading and developing other product managers or moving into people leadership from an individual-contributor or lead-level product role.
• Experience building products that convert regulatory or audit requirements into automated processes or tooling.
