Principal Software Engineer

Lead the architecture and hands-on development of a self-service infrastructure buildout platform, from declarative service definitions through provisioning, deployment, and validation. Design distributed workflows with clear dependency ordering, approval gates, durable state tracking, safe retries, and recovery from partial failures. Write and review secure, maintainable production code; establish automated testing, integration testing, and safe deployment practices. Develop and apply AI-assisted engineering workflows, including coding agents and automated pull requests, with human review, evaluation, and Responsible AI controls. Build security, privacy, compliance, accessibility, and auditability into the platform; preserve required authorization and capacity approvals as automation expands. Own operational reliability through telemetry, on-call participation, incident response, and continuous improvement. Measure buildout duration, manual interventions, success rates, and recovery time. Mentor engineers, lead cross-team design reviews, and translate the technical strategy into deliverable milestones informed by service-team feedback. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 12+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, and automated deployment pipelines.
