Overview
Microsoft's Azure Data engineering organization builds data platforms and integration products for analytics, big data, messaging, real-time analytics, and business intelligence.
The Fabric Mirroring team builds and operates a service that transfers large volumes of data from source systems to Fabric with minimal latency.
The team focuses on advanced data movement and replication scenarios with user-friendly interfaces.
Responsibilities
- Produce extensible and maintainable code and optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code to improve performance and maintainability.
- Use debugging tools, logs, telemetry, and coding to identify assumptions and root causes of issues.
- Review code against team and Microsoft quality standards, coding patterns, reliability, accuracy, and scale requirements.
- Lead architecture discussions, test design hypotheses, and create architecture proposals and design documents.
- Determine technologies, system interactions, and architectural solutions with minimal technical oversight.
- Create testing plans, define test success, improve test coverage, and drive test automation.
- Identify dependencies, system interactions, and upstream and downstream effects across teams and technologies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align user requirements and incorporate feedback into designs and fixes.
