About the Role

The forward deployed engineering team works directly inside government entities to identify, build, and deploy agentic AI systems.

The role owns domain rewiring, adoption, and realized business value as an individual contributor first.

The role may later include leading a rewiring pod, hiring engineers, or owning part of the domain portfolio.

What You Own

  • Understand government operations, define requirements, establish metrics, capture baselines, and agree value cases with business owners.
  • Architect agentic workflows and write the production code needed to deploy them.
  • Navigate security, privacy, tenant isolation, governance, and information-security reviews.
  • Redesign human processes alongside software and measure improvements in cycle time, cost, decisions, or other outcomes.
  • Turn lessons from deployments into reusable platform capabilities, engineering patterns, and playbooks.

Who You Are

  • You have personally shipped software end-to-end into production for real users.
  • You are experienced with LLMs, agent systems, orchestration, retrieval, evaluation, agent design, and prompt engineering.
  • You are comfortable defining users, requirements, priorities, scope, success metrics, and value cases.
  • You understand enterprise identity, networking, data governance, security, and approval processes.
  • You can discuss cost, productivity, cycle time, headcount, and return on investment with senior executives.

Strongly Preferred

  • Forward deployed engineering, solutions engineering, or technical delivery experience.
  • Experience building or leading a forward deployed engineering capability.
  • Experience delivering within government, financial services, or another regulated or high-assurance environment.
  • Founder, founding engineer, or zero-to-one product experience.
  • Hands-on cloud and platform engineering experience, particularly Azure.
  • Arabic and English capability or experience in bilingual environments.

Performance Measures

Performance is measured by speed from problem definition to production use of a rewired workflow.

Performance is measured by validated impact against an agreed baseline.

Performance is measured by judgment in scaling, redesigning, or stopping initiatives based on evidence.

Success requires production delivery and measurable value rather than pilots, presentations, or lines of code.
