Role overview
Autodesk is seeking a Principal Experience Design Engineer, AI Frameworks, for the Applied Intelligence design team in the Experience Foundations organization.
The role builds an AI design framework that scales across the Autodesk platform and supports AI agents for customer design problems.
The position partners closely with Design and Engineering and reports to a Senior Manager, Design Technology, AEC.
Core responsibilities
- Develop adaptive, context-aware UI components that scale across agentic workflows.
- Architect and maintain a modular framework supporting personalized and agent-assisted user experiences.
- Liaise with engineering, product managers, architects, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
- Establish scalable processes that speed delivery from prototype to deployable solutions.
- Coach designers and troubleshoot challenges as they become more proficient with AI-augmented development.
Minimum qualifications
- At least 8 years of professional front-end or full-stack development experience.
- Experience creating and maintaining reusable UI components and component libraries.
