Role overview
Join WSP’s Transport and Infrastructure business unit as a Principal Engineer focused on water infrastructure, hydrology, and wet utilities.
Lead design and delivery of large-scale projects across the UAE, with emphasis on technical excellence, innovation, and sustainable solutions.
The role is based within the Dubai/Sharjah team and requires in-depth UAE project experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and delivery of potable water, stormwater, foul sewerage, TSE and irrigation networks, and hydrological systems.
- Provide technical leadership in hydrology, hydraulic modelling, and wet utilities design.
- Coordinate civil, structural, environmental, transport, and other engineering disciplines.
- Produce design reports, modelling outputs, specifications, drawings, tender documents, and engineering studies.
- Lead client engagement, technical presentations, stakeholder communication, and subject-matter advice.
- Guide authority submissions and coordinate with local authorities for compliance and approvals.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and support technical knowledge transfer.
- Support planning, budgeting, risk management, technical strategy, quality assurance, and health and safety.
- Contribute to proposals, bids, technical presentations, and client relationship development.
