Role overview
The Customer Engagement Platform powers Dynamics 365 CRM, Power Platform solutions, case management, workflow automation, marketing capabilities, and colleague-facing tools.
The Principal Engineer sets technical direction and engineering standards so CEP teams can deliver reliable, secure, frequent changes.
The role includes leading and managing engineers across CEP squads and working with the Platform Owner.
What you will do
- Define the CEP Golden Path covering secure CI/CD, solution packaging, ALM, progressive delivery, rollback, reusable blueprints, and deployable modules.
- Architect reliability and observability through API and event contracts, workflow patterns, dependency baselines, traces, golden signals, SLOs, and error budgets.
- Make ephemeral environments and data-on-demand standard, with parity and drift detection.
- Embed contract, performance, resilience, and security testing and enforce delivery and compliance guardrails.
- Lead modernization, operational recovery, technical-debt retirement, and platform coherence across CRM and workflow domains.
