Principal Consultant - Project Controls

Cost and Quantity Surveying

• Lead RIBA Stage 0–4 cost planning, including benchmarking, allowances, and risk adjustments.
• Prepare and review bills of quantities aligned to NRM and CESMM standards.
• Support estimates, budgets, forecasts, CVRs, cashflow, financial reporting, procurement strategies, and tender documentation.
• Drive value engineering, cost optimization, and lifecycle cost input.

Risk, PMO, and Governance

• Manage commercial risks, opportunities, entitlement claims, dispute resolution, cost recovery, and escalation processes.
• Integrate cost, schedule, and change impacts with project controls, planning, and PMO processes.
• Establish QA/QC frameworks, peer reviews, templates, SOPs, and delivery standards.

Digital QS and Improvement

• Champion CostX, model-based take-off, 5D/BIM-enabled workflows, structured cost databases, and benchmarking systems.
• Promote data-driven reporting through advanced Excel, Power Query, pivot tables, Power BI, and automated dashboards.
• Drive continuous improvement, bid development, mobilization planning, workshare growth, and structured training.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of QS, cost management, or commercial experience, including approximately 5 years of UK project exposure.
• Experience with UK–India delivery models and interfacing with UK stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts, NRM and CESMM standards, and RIBA Stage 0–4 cost planning.
• Experience with change control, CVRs, forecasting, procurement, contract management, multi-project leadership, and delivery governance.
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of consultancy environments.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as the key commercial interface between GCC and UK stakeholders.
• Build relationships with clients, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support capability showcases and promote the GCC value proposition.
