Job Overview

  • Nord Anglia International School Al Khor (NAISAK) is a 3 18 through school with more than 1350+ pupils currently on roll.
  • Primary is predominantly 4 form entry with approximately 750 students aged 3 11.
  • The school resides in Al Khor, 35 minutes north of Doha, Qatar.
  • We educate both local and expat students through a bespoke and engaging Primary curriculum drawing on the English National Curriculum and Qatar's Ministry of Education curriculum.

Job Responsibilities

  • To support the Primary leadership team in fulfilling the school's mission statement by delivering a high quality education to children.
  • To be an outstanding classroom practitioner with a positive, can do attitude and a strong desire to develop professionally.
  • To demonstrate a commitment to implementing the mission, vision, and values of Nord Anglia International School Al Khor and Nord Anglia Education.
  • Demonstrate thorough curriculum knowledge, teach, and assess effectively, take responsibility for professional development, and ensure students achieve their potential.

Personal Specifications

  • Bachelor's degree in education or degree plus PGCE/QTS (Essential).
  • Teaching Qualifications (Essential).
  • Proven track record and two years of teaching experience (Essential).
  • Teaching within International Schools (Essential).
  • Good working knowledge of the International Primary Curriculum, UK National Curriculum (Essential).
  • Good classroom practice and interpersonal skills (Essential).
  • Ability to prioritize workloads and to work on own initiative (Essential).
  • Range of teaching experience across different year groups (Desirable).
  • Integrated technology into the classroom experience to enhance and extend the learning of students (Essential).
  • Successfully teach students using technology in virtual/hybrid environment (Essential).
  • Experience in leading meetings or INSET sessions (Desirable).

Selection Process
