IAG is seeking a Pricing Specialist to help shape the future of pricing through pricing expertise, actuarial thinking, data science, and artificial intelligence.
The role will help embed AI into everyday pricing activities and support confidence in how AI capabilities are used across the organization.
This is a permanent full-time role based in Sydney or Melbourne.
What you will do
- Identify and deliver AI opportunities that improve pricing efficiency, support automation, and enhance decision-making.
- Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions that strengthen pricing insights, processes, and commercial outcomes.
- Partner with pricing, governance, technology, and data teams to prioritize initiatives and deliver scalable solutions.
- Support development of the Pricing Technology and AI roadmap.
- Monitor model performance and establish governance practices.
- Ensure AI outputs are reliable, transparent, and fit for purpose.
- Champion AI adoption by sharing knowledge, coaching colleagues, and demonstrating practical use cases.
What you will bring
- Have experience in insurance pricing, actuarial, reserving, reinsurance, or advanced analytics environments.
- Have a strong understanding of artificial intelligence, machine learning, Generative AI, and Large Language Models.
- Demonstrate the ability to apply advanced analytics and AI solutions to real business challenges.
- Be proficient in Python, SQL, R, or similar analytical and programming tools.
- Have knowledge of AI governance, model monitoring, and responsible AI practices.
- Translate technical concepts into clear business outcomes and influence a broad range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrate curiosity, commercial thinking, and a passion for exploring technology-enabled pricing improvements.
- Hold a tertiary qualification in actuarial studies, artificial intelligence, data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or another relevant technical discipline.
