Press Operator (Rotating Shift)

Responsibilities

• Operate vinyl presses to produce materials consistent with customer specifications while ensuring quality standards are met and adhering to all safety standards and regulations Read work orders and production schedules to ensure conformance to customer specifications Set up, start and shut down machines (extruders, hydraulic and pneumatic presses) & monitor their operations, restocking materials as required Consistently meet or exceed identified target attainment goals on a daily and monthly basis Perform quality audits at point of manufacture

• Perform routine general maintenance on machines and work area daily; maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned production area at all times
• Determine and report product and equipment malfunctions to appropriate parties; troubleshoot equipment malfunctions as necessary
• Maintain a constant visual on parts produced and perform visual quality control audits
• Ensure to work following all Company policies and procedures
• Work collaboratively with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
• Targeted reduction in waste of all forms (time, materials, labour)
• Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization (colleagues, supervisors and other departments)
• Other duties as assigned by the Team Leader or designate
