The Premises Manager plays an essential role in ensuring the optimal functioning and safety of school premises. This position requires proactive management, rapid response to issues, and effective coordination of maintenance activities. You'll oversee the day-to-day delivery of the Authority Requirements as per the PFI contract for your assigned school, whilst adhering to health and safety regulations and fostering a culture of environmental sustainability.
As a Premises Manager, you'll be working within the Lewisham PFI Schools team, supporting them in delivering high-quality facilities management services. Your day to day will include:
Conducting regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and coordinating repairs whilst ensuring minimal disruption to school activities
Implementing and upholding health and safety protocols, conducting risk assessments and ensuring compliance with emergency procedures
Overseeing reactive and planned maintenance in line with contract SLAs and managing all aspects of Authority Requirements through the CAFM system
Providing leadership and guidance to Premises Officers and Cleaning Staff, identifying development opportunities and conducting performance reviews
Acting as the primary point of contact for premises-related queries and maintaining open communication with all stakeholders
