Pre-Sales Data and AI Architect - Solution Engineering (Canada)

Role Overview

What You Will Do

• Own the technical lifecycle from discovery and system design through architecture validation, technical close, production readiness, and scalability.
• Design and validate D360 integrations with Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, streaming platforms, MDM, identity systems, data lakes, and source systems.
• Make decisions on data modeling, identity resolution, ingestion patterns, data graph design, and activation strategies.
• Conduct proofs of concept, architecture walkthroughs, and reference implementations to de-risk complex deals.
• Create repeatable industry-specific reference architectures and high-fidelity technical assets.
• Advise customer data and architecture leaders and represent Salesforce technical perspectives at briefings and forums.
• Ensure architectures meet security, privacy, compliance, and trust requirements.

Experience and Education

• 7+ years of hands-on experience designing and delivering enterprise data, analytics, and AI architectures is required.
• Strong experience in data engineering, platform architecture, or technical architecture roles is required.
• A BS in computer science, engineering, data science, or an equivalent technical field is required.
• An advanced degree is preferred.
• Experience with complex distributed data ecosystems and activation platforms such as D360 is required.

Technical Skills

• Deep expertise in Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, data modeling, identity resolution, entity relationships, and D360 data graph design is required.
• Experience with batch, real-time, and hybrid ingestion, data quality, lineage, governance, and trust frameworks is required.
• Hands-on proficiency with Python or R, DataFrames, pandas, Jupyter, data wrangling, and feature preparation is required.
• Experience with applied machine learning concepts, AI-readiness architecture, and analytics or BI tools is required.
• Deep hands-on knowledge of Salesforce architecture, D360, core Salesforce services, and scalable secure solutions is required.

Compensation

• For Ontario-based roles, the base salary hiring range is CAD 179,130 to CAD 229,130 annually.
• The range represents base salary only and excludes bonus, sales incentives, equity, and benefits where applicable.
