Power Supply Project Manager

Company Overview

Role Context

Main Duties

• Manage traction, auxiliary, and emergency power systems from concept design through commissioning and handover.
• Oversee power supply design and ensure compliance with UAE and international railway standards.
• Coordinate clients, consultants, contractors, authorities, and internal teams.
• Assess feasibility studies, technical proposals, and tender documents and recommend value-engineering solutions.
• Manage compliance, budgets, resources, schedules, risks, quality plans, testing, commissioning, and HSE protocols.
• Prepare reports and technical presentations and mentor junior engineers during operational readiness and handover.

Education and Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required.
• A master’s degree or PMP certification is an advantage.
• At least 15 years of experience in rail power supply design and management is required.
• Project management experience in international consultancy or major infrastructure projects is required.
• GCC or UAE experience and familiarity with local regulations are highly desired.

Technical and Professional Skills

• Knowledge of traction power, substations, overhead catenary, SCADA, and safety standards is required.
• Familiarity with FIDIC and project controls tools is listed.
• Proficiency in ETAP, AutoCAD, BIM, MS Project, or related engineering software is required.
• Multicultural team management, leadership, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are required.
• Fluency in English is required.
