Role Summary

  • The Portfolio Manager – Strategic Programs is responsible for overseeing large, complex, and high impact strategic program/s.
  • This role ensures the timely and high quality execution of strategic initiatives while maintaining strict regulatory compliance and governance standards.
  • The position requires close engagement with senior government stakeholders to understand Qatar’s current and future IT vision and to ensure that malomatia’s capabilities, solutions, and strategies are aligned to Qatar's priorities.
  • The role works closely with the SBU Chief and senior leadership to translate strategy into execution and long term value creation.

Job Specifications / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, preferably an MBA with specialization in Project Management, from a recognized university
  • Professional certification such as PMP is preferred
  • Proven experience leading large scale digital transformation programs
  • Demonstrated success in practice building and team scaling
  • Strong understanding of emerging technologies, automation, and modern system management tools
  • Solid knowledge of system and software quality assurance standards, best practices, and methodologies
  • Qatari nationals are strongly encouraged to apply.

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the SBU Chief and Other executive leadership team members to formulate and implement strategic programs
  • Ensure that required strategic and leadership capabilities are nurtured within senior and top management
  • Oversee delivery of strategic projects for ministries and government authorities
  • Maintain strong relationships with senior government stakeholders
  • Proactively engage with government entities to identify new service opportunities
  • Lead market and technology research to propose adoption of innovative technologies
  • Collaborate with the Leader – Resource Management to build and maintain a dedicated talent pool
  • Lead execution of initiatives that directly enhance shareholder value
  • Coordinate with internal committees and Marketing to strengthen brand
  • In collaboration with the CHRO, support talent development initiatives to build and grow Qatari capabilities

Operational Responsibilities

  • Monitor execution plans for strategic programs to ensure alignment with current and future projects
  • Partner with technical leaders to forecast future resource and capability requirements
  • Conduct regular engagements with State stakeholders to understand evolving IT priorities
  • Represent malomatia at regional and international seminars, conferences, and industry forums
  • Studies industry trends to identify the latest developments in IT, supports findings with quantitative data, and presents insights to the SBU Chief and/or CEO
