Role Summary
Shape, execute, and advance AstraZeneca's policy and advocacy strategy in support of business-unit portfolio and objectives.
Analyze and influence the external policy environment, identify opportunities and risks, and guide engagement with critical stakeholders.
Work with commercial, medical, regulatory, and government affairs colleagues to support patient access and business priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the policy landscape affecting AstraZeneca disease products.
- Monitor legislation, regulations, and advocacy activities to support compliance and address business risks.
- Lead public policy and advocacy projects that advance therapeutic access, reimbursement, and innovation.
- Assess and grow internal policy-shaping capabilities and align national priorities with therapy-area objectives.
- Align KSA policy strategies with AstraZeneca's global policy framework and corporate affairs strategy.
- Build relationships with policymakers, senior government officials, patient advocacy groups, medical societies, NGOs, and industry associations.
- Advise cross-functional teams on policy priorities and business-goal alignment.
