Role Description

  • The Podiatry Nurse is a full time, on site role based in Riyadh, responsible for providing specialized nursing care focused on foot health for individuals with diabetes and related conditions.
  • Day to day tasks include assessing patients’ lower extremities, performing routine foot examinations, documenting clinical findings, and assisting in the prevention and management of diabetic foot complications.
  • The Podiatry Nurse will provide wound care, nail and skin care, and support podiatric procedures under the supervision of physicians or podiatrists.
  • The role involves educating patients and families on foot hygiene, risk factors, and self care practices, as well as coordinating follow up care and referrals when needed.
  • The nurse will collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, adhere to infection control and safety standards, and participate in quality improvement and clinical documentation activities.

Qualifications

  • Professional nursing qualification (e.g., diploma or degree in nursing) and valid nursing license/registration in Saudi Arabia or eligibility to obtain it.
  • Experience or strong interest in podiatry, diabetic foot care, wound management, and preventive foot health.
  • Knowledge of diabetes management principles, basic vascular and neurological assessment of the lower extremities, and infection control practices.
  • Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and patient education skills, with attention to detail and adherence to protocols.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, manage time effectively, and prioritize patient care in a busy clinical setting.
  • Good communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
  • Comfort with using electronic health records and basic computer applications for clinical documentation.
  • Previous experience in outpatient clinics, wound care units, or podiatry services is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, ethical practice, and providing respectful, non discriminatory care to all patients.
