Area operators a ct as the asset owner and ensures that all equipment is operated in accordance to SIG's ZERO EHS impact philosophy.
You will support the site's production capabilities by ensuring operation and support of production equipment, and by initiating immediate notification of improper working production equipment.
Individuals are responsible for performing the necessary duties to ensure their area produces product according to the production schedule priorities in a safe, ecological, and efficient manner.
This position reports to the Production Supervisor
• Perform safe operation of all equipment in accordance with Morgantown’s Safety Policies and Standard Procedures to ensure personal safety as well as that of co-workers. • Safely perform LOTO in accordance with site policy and procedure. • Safely drive and spot trucks for loading and unloading. • Engages in loading/unloading and labeling of various materials and containers. • Inspects equipment for potential and actual hazards; develop equipment troubleshooting and maintenance skills; check out equipment prior to start-up after a shutdown. • Work with SAP as necessary. • Position may also involve tasks in the management and/or handling of hazardous waste. • Work overtime when necessary. • Other tasks as assigned.
Experience :
0 – 3 years in Industrial Manufacturing Facility.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Demonstrated strong work ethic and ability to learn.
Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.
Solid verbal and written communication skills.
Strong general mechanical and math skills.
