About the Role
Wood is seeking an experienced PMC Senior Planning Engineer for a high-profile client in Abu Dhabi. You will develop, manage, and control integrated project schedules across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.

Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Project Controls Lead / Project Lead, assume sole responsibility for Project Planning and Scheduling / Project Controls of Engineering and construction Projects
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans and report against them
- Ensure overall project delivery meets client’s schedule requirements and priorities
- Develop a suitable Work Breakdown Structure covering project requirements and scope of works
- Develop, baseline, update, and maintain detailed project schedules for design, construction, pre commissioning, and start up phases
- Coordinate with client representatives, team members, contractors, and subcontractors to develop project schedules
- Organise workshops to present and review project schedules with stakeholders
- Develop and agree with client progress measurement and reporting requirements
- Review schedules prepared by contractors/subcontractors to confirm alignment with master plan
- Periodically update schedule with progress and prepare forecasts
- Identify schedule slippages and work with Project Manager to develop recovery plans
- Analyse impact of proposed changes and re baseline schedules to incorporate approved changes
Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years’ relevant experience in the oil and gas industry
- Bachelor degree in engineering
- Knowledge of engineering, procurement and construction planning processes, planning tools, project management techniques
- Demonstrable mastery of Advanced Work Packaging (AWP), specifically for offshore plant shutdowns or brownfield electrical cutovers
- Knowledge of CTR and progress measurement processes
- Experience in EPC Projects, ADNOC Projects
- Familiar with ADNOC Standards and procedures

Skills And Qualifications

- Experience of working with multi national and multi cultural project teams is strongly preferred
- Experience in EPC Projects, ADNOC Projects
- Familiar with ADNOC Standards and procedures
