Plow Operator

McCall Thomas Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking a Plow Operator to work with our construction crews to install underground telecommunications.

This will be a 1099 contract position.

Travel will be required for this position- primarily in GA, NC and SC.

The Plow Operator is responsible for operating cable plowing equipment used to install underground fiber optic cable and conduit.

The ideal candidate will have experience with utility construction, heavy equipment operation, and a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

• Operate cable plows and related construction equipment for fiber optic installation projects
• Install underground fiber optic cable, conduit, and associated infrastructure according to project specifications
• Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance on assigned equipment
• Read utility locates, construction plans, and route maps
• Maintain awareness of underground utilities and follow all excavation safety requirements
• Complete required paperwork, daily reports, and equipment logs
• Adhere to company safety policies and industry regulations
• Assist with general construction activities as needed
