Playwright SDET Engineer

This is a position in Quality Engineering responsible for developing and executing performance and automation tests. This position works with management to enhance quality and process standards and to plan and execute effective and efficient test approaches to accomplish on-time and efficient delivery of high-quality software products and/or data. This intermediate understanding of QA testing includes different testing methodologies, legacy, and innovation/acquisition products. Education/Experience: · 5-7 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Test Engineering · BS degree with computer science, quality assurance, or engineering emphasis or equivalent preferred · Experience in different automation frameworks such as Data driven, Keyword driven and hybrid framework · Familiarity with designing and running performance tests is a plus · Solid experience in designing and building automation frameworks from the ground up using Java or other programming languages · Experience in Maven, IntelliJ, Jenkins, GitHub, CI/CD is a plus · Experience working on applications with multi-tier architecture (Required) · Knowledge of databases and SQL · XML, SOAP WebServices Testing · Ability to work in a complex and ever-changing environment · Working knowledge of defect tracking tools such as Jira and Zephyr Responsibility level: · Exercises independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor Skills: · Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time (Required) · Strong mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback (Required) · Intermediate knowledge of QA Methodologies; knowledge of process improvement · Intermediate understanding of the software development process · Advanced written/communication skills · Intermediate project management skills · Intermediate proficiency in working within budgets · Intermediate understanding of industry trends · Proven ability to identify and implement continuous improvement practices · Constructing and executing test plans · Understanding of automation/other tools that increase testing efficiency · Proven research skills Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: · Review and approve test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures · Review and approve testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usability · Research available tools and leads or participates in initiatives to identify and implement those that will cost-effectively enhance testing capabilities and product quality · Configures, maintains, and/or administers testing tools or environments · Develop and execute automated testing for assigned projects to enable delivery of high-quality software products and services successfully and consistently on time, on budget, and to specification · Review documentation of software defects and assign software developers to investigate and resolve the issue · Review and approve test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates · Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness or to mitigate risks · Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems · All other duties as assigned
