As the Platform Lead , you’ll provide specialist leadership across our enterprise workflow platforms, including ServiceNow and Atlassian Jira .
You’ll take ownership of the platform roadmap and lifecycle, balancing business demand with reliability, technical debt, risk, cost and future needs. You’ll work across Technology and the wider business to make sure priorities are clear, decisions are well considered and platform changes are practical, supportable and ready to deliver.
This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports , but you’ll provide guidance and influence across teams and stakeholders, helping set clear expectations for how our platforms are managed and evolved.
You’ll:
Own or shape platform roadmaps, balancing demand, lifecycle health, resilience, technical debt, cost and supportability.
Prioritise and sequence platform work, making clear recommendations on trade-offs, dependencies and funding needs.
Make platform risks, constraints, capacity and service impacts visible to support informed business decisions.
Own ongoing platform health and operational performance, ensuring platforms are reliable, secure and supportable.
Monitor workflow platforms service performance, vulnerabilities, patching, vendor performance and operational controls.
Ensure platform risks and control gaps have clear owners, treatment plans and appropriate escalation.
Work closely with Product, Delivery, Architecture, Security, Technical teams, vendors and business stakeholders to ensure platform changes are feasible and well planned.
Clarify non-functional requirements, acceptance criteria, transition needs and delivery readiness.
Communicate platform roadmaps, service health, risks and trade-offs in clear, practical business terms.
Use platform feedback, operational data and experience to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Provide guidance and coaching to contributors and peers on effective platform ownership.

You’re an experienced technology professional who enjoys taking ownership of complex platforms and turning competing demands into clear priorities.
You’re comfortable balancing strategic thinking with the detail needed to keep platforms reliable and fit for purpose. You use evidence and sound judgement to make decisions, manage risk and influence stakeholders, and you can explain technical issues in a way that makes sense to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Senior practitioner or lead-level experience in platform/product management, platform/product leadership or a closely related technology discipline .
Strong experience across platform roadmaps, lifecycle management, service reliability, technical debt, demand prioritisation and stakeholder alignment.
Strong understanding of platform management, service reliability, non-functional requirements, risk and technology governance.
Experience making prioritisation and trade-off decisions across competing technology and business demands.
Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues clearly.
Experience working across a range of technical and business teams, including Product, Delivery, Architecture, Security, vendors and operational stakeholders.
Relevant qualifications or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with ServiceNow, Atlassian Jira or other enterprise workflow platforms would be highly regarded, as would experience across ITIL, Agile, SaaS, architecture, automation or technology governance.
Experience in an airline, travel or another complex enterprise environment would be desirable, but isn’t essential.
