Platform Engineer

This role is based at our head office in central Woking.

The role is included in our hybrid working policy with the expectation of a minimum of two days a week in the office, which should be co-ordinated with other members of the Engineering team.

We are looking for an applicant who has :

• Bachelor's degree in computer science , similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of h ands on experience with large cloud providers ; AWS pr efe rred , other clou d exp erience consid ered .
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code ( IaC ) tools like Terraform, Ansible or SaltStack .
• 3+ years of hands-on e xperience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker , Kubernetes a nd Helm .
• Excellent programming, debugging, and optimization skills in general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Go, Python, C/C++, Java, or Rust.
• Solid understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and version control e.g. Git.
• Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed
• Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, ELK etc
• Ability to write and speak in English fluently

Some of th e below would be beneficial to the applicant , but opportunities to develop in these areas will also be provided :

• Experienced working in and developing for a Linux environment .
• Exp erience with Hel mfile or sim ilar decla rative depl oy ment tooling .
• E xperience with mul ti-tena nt archite cture pattern s, ten ant iso lation , per-c ustomer r esour ce bound ari es and sha red -vs-d edica ted ser vice des ign.
• Expe rience with iden tity pro vider s and a uthen t ic ation flows, i ncl uding O IDC, OA uth 2.0 , or pl atform s such as Auth 0 .
• Knowledge in cyber security, including but not limited to threat intelligence, IAM, key management systems, data security, application security, applied cryptography , certificate management .
• Experience of IoT systems integration, protocols, and services, including MQTT and AW S IoT Core .
• Experience in troubleshooting incidents and live environments.
• N etworking concepts and network performance modelling / optimisation .
• Understand the basic concepts of AI agent automation and orchestration .
• Experience with Hashicorp tools like Vault or Consul
