Responsibilities
- Set up/operate manual and CNC guided plasma cutting machines
- Read engineering drawings, cutting plans, NC programs
- Verify material grade, dimensions, and ID before cutting
- Meet dimensional, tolerance, and surface quality standards
- Monitor/adjust machine parameters (amperage, gas pressure, cutting speed)
- Perform routine maintenance checks, report faults
- Minimize material waste through efficient nesting
- Inspect cut profiles for accuracy before production release
- Maintain clean, HSE compliant work area
- Complete production records, cutting logs, traceability documentation
- Report defects/equipment/quality issues to supervisor
- Follow plasma cutting safety procedures (PPE, fire prevention, fume extraction)
