Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for engineering and fabrication projects across sectors such as metals and mining, marine and offshore wind, oil and gas, water and power
- Review drawings and specifications, perform quantity take offs, research material and labor costs, and develop detailed cost breakdowns
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to refine estimates, support tender submissions, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Participate in technical and commercial clarification meetings, support negotiations, update cost databases, and contribute to continuous improvement of estimation processes
Requirements
- Strong technical foundation in Mechanical Engineering relevant to industrial and custom plate fabrication, machinery and equipment building, structural projects
- Proficiency in Project Estimation and BOQ preparation, including quantity take offs, cost analysis, and preparation of tender/quotation documents
- Ability to conduct thorough research on material, equipment, and labor costs, as well as market benchmarks and vendor pricing
- Effective negotiation skills for engaging with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders on technical and commercial terms
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related engineering field
- Experience with estimation software, spreadsheets, and engineering design documents (drawings, specifications, standards)
- Strong analytical, numerical, and attention to detail skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines
- Previous experience in custom plate fabrication, machinery construction, or industrial projects is an advantage
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams on site

- Lefebvre Engineering is an engineering and custom plate fabrication company with in house fabrication capabilities serving multiple sectors including Metals & Mining, Oil & Gas, Power & Water, Marine, Offshore & Renewables, Ports & Marine, and Defence & Aerospace.
- Main facilities located in Hamriyah Freezone close to Hamriyah deep water port.
- Operates advanced fabrication, welding, metal forming, heat treatment, CNC precision machining, and dedicated painting and blasting facilities.
